William Rue
President

Bill joined the firm in 1969 and has over 40 years of insurance experience.

Mr. Rue holds a BS Degree in Commerce from Rider College. He is a licensed Property and Casualty, Life and Health Insurance Producer and has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation, the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, and the Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designation.

Bill is a director of Selective Insurance Group, 1st Constitution Bank, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton and Rider University. He is a past president of the Professional Insurance Agents of NJ, past national director of the Professional Insurance Agents Association, past Chairman of IVANS, past president of the Hightstown-East Windsor YMCA, past director of ACORD, past director of Mercer Junior Achievement, past Secretary of the Cranbury Volunteer Fire Company, past member of the Cranbury Township Planning Board and past member of the Cranbury Township Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Bill was awarded the: Platinum Dads/Legacy of Fatherhood Award by UIH Family Partners in 2011; the Excellence Service Award by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in 2005; and the Distinguished Alumnus Award by Rider College in 1993. Bill was also named "Innovator of the Year" by The Princeton Chamber of Commerce in 2009, and named the "Man of the Year" by Boys Town of Italy in 2000.

Elizabeth Allen

Elizabeth joined the firm in 1985 as the Commercial Lines Manager, was promoted to Executive Vice President in 1994 and became a partner in the firm in 1999. She has over 30 years of insurance experience and currently oversees the client services for Rue Insurance. She has experience managing every aspect of agency client service operations and has a vast knowledge of insurance contracts and risk management practices.

Ms. Allen is a licensed Property and Casualty, Life and Health Insurance Producer and has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation, the Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designation and the Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designation.

Elizabeth's industry involvement includes past president of the New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals and the Insurance Women of Mercer County. Elizabeth has also served as Chairman of the New Jersey Society of Certified Insurance Counselors and is currently an active member of both the CIC Society and the CPCU Society. In 1983 Elizabeth received the Insurance Woman of the Year award and in 1990 was honored by NJYIP with their Distinguished Service Award.

Elizabeth also teaches for several programs including CPCU courses, CIC institutes, career development workshops and a variety of technical insurance subjects.

William Rue, Jr.

Bill joined the firm in 2002 and manages the Sales department.

Prior to joining Rue Insurance, Bill was an Analyst in the Investment Banking group of Merrill Lynch where he was responsible for valuation analysis and merger and acquisition advisory services for Fortune 500 industrial companies. He also served as Head of Analyst Recruiting where he coordinated the hiring of employees worldwide.

Mr. Rue has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and degrees in Economics and Political Science from Duke University. He is a licensed Property and Casualty, Life and Health Insurance Producer, holds an NASD securities license, and has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Outside of work, Bill serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Lakeview Child Center, Mercer Alliance to End Homelessness (Treasurer), Princeton Family YMCA, the 200 Club of Mercer County and the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton's Young Professionals Group (Past Chairman).

Shirley Oravsky

Shirley joined the firm in 1988 and is responsible for the management of our business client services & processing operations. Her focus on client satisfaction assures that we deliver quality service in a responsive and dependable manner to each and every Rue Insurance client.

Ms. Oravsky is a licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Producer and has earned the Certified Professional Insurance Women (CPIW) designation, the Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designation, the Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) designation and the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation.

Shirley is a member of the American Insurance Marketing & Sales Society and the Insurance Women of Mercer County.

John Warn
Vice President, Treasurer

John joined the firm in 1983 and manages the Accounting and Administration departments.

Mr. Warn graduated from Rider University with a BA in Accounting. He is a CPA and a licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Producer. John is also certified as an ASCNet Presenter. He has conducted educational sessions in the local chapter meetings throughout the country as well as at their national conferences.

John is an active member of the Applied Systems Client Network (ASCNet), where he serves as a Director on their Board, as the Associations Treasurer, Chair of the Finance Committee, and is a Past President of the Central NJ Applied Systems User Group.

Laura Schuler

Laura joined the firm in 1997 providing services to our Business Insurance clients. In 2005, she headed up our Rue Risk Services division providing Risk Management programs to assist our clients in managing their Total Cost of Risk in addition to managing our Claims department. In 2007, she added our Personal Insurance department to her management responsibilities. In 2011, Laura became the branch manager for our Keyport location.

Ms. Schuler is a licensed Property and Casualty Insurance Producer and has earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation, the Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation, the Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) designation and the Certified Professional Service Representative (CPSR) designation.

Laura is an active member of the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Society as well as the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Society.
