Client’s business was growing rapidly as well as their Workers Compensation premiums.  Insured wanted to implement a Safety and Loss Control Program to reduce their Workers Compensation injuries.  Rue Insurance helped formalize a Safety Committee and implemented a return to work program.

 

Over four years, the safety committee and the return to work program decreased their OSHA incident rate from 6.82 down to 0.00.  Also, their experience modification decreased by .112 resulting in over a $100,000 premium reduction.    

 

 

Client’s Workers Compensation claims were being reported late resulting in increased direct and indirect claims costs.  Rue Insurance caught the issue and assisted the client with creating accident investigation and reporting procedures workflows.    Because of the workflows, 94% of the claims are now reported within 7 days of the incident effectively eliminating undue costs.

 

 

Client had interest in Safety and Loss Control initiatives in order to reduce their insurance costs.  Rue Insurance assisted the client in creating and implementing an effective Safety Committee.  The newly established Safety Committee and increased safety awareness throughout the company qualified the client for the Delaware Workers Compensation Safety Committee Credit which gave them a 15% reduction on their premium.

 

 

In the early morning hours a fire destroyed the club's golf bag storage building which contained many of the members’ golf clubs and bags.  Initially, the insurance company wanted each member to make a claim against their homeowners’ policy for the destroyed clubs and bags.  Rue Insurance prevailed upon the insurance carrier to pay the claims under the clubs non-owned property extension.  Rue sent six employees to the club for two days and one evening to settle all the individual member claims.  The insurance carrier gave permission for the club's golf shop to replace the lost equipment at discounted prices.  Some of the golf club brands sent representatives to the club to expedite replacement of the equipment.  Thanks to the efforts of the Rue Team and the clubs professional golf staff most all of the members were able to play in the clubs member guest tournament the following weekend with all new equipment. 

 

 

 

 

Over ten years ago we met with a group of our accounts that were in the site improvement contracting business.  We told them of our idea to form a purchasing group.  The purpose of the group would be to approach an insurance company that would look at the premiums they pay not as individuals but as a total group.  By doing so we would negotiate better policy terms and prices than they could purchase as individuals.  This group of an original nine now has eighty five members.  The members are able to purchase some of the broadest coverage the market has to offer at prices that are below the competition.  They've also been able to receive a great deal of help in safety management and training.  This has allowed the members to be more competitive in their new job bidding process.
