On January 8, 2024, Governor Murphy signed into law P.L. 2023 c 237 which amends the Contractors’ Business Registration Act (CBRA) and creates the Home Improvement and Home Elevation Contractor Licensing Act. In addition, this law created the NJ State Board of Home Improvement and Home Elevation Contractors. This will apply to all existing licensing registrations that expire on March 31, 2025.
