We are excited to be seeking an energetic, highly-detailed, and client-focused Commercial Account Manager to join our dynamic Commercial Lines team. This position’s primary responsibility is to provide outstanding specialized service to Rue’s Program clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall servicing of Commercial Lines client accounts, including handling all client policy renewals and assisting with onboarding new clients
  • Take initiative to seek and provide opportunities for client coverage and service enhancement
  • Build strong, long-term client and producer relationships by providing prompt, professional and empathetic service to all clients at all times
  • Provide interagency service to producers and other agency personnel in support of Commercial Lines clients
  • Assist with Commercial Lines Department growth, including, but not limited to, account rounding and new program development
  • Perform assigned responsibilities in accordance with agency-established client service standards, workflows, and documentation expectations
  • Take initiative to stay informed on current market trends, industry changes, and emerging risks; and participate in seminars and classes for continuous learning and skills development
  • Attend and participate in client, department and company calls and meetings
  • Perform all other duties or projects as assigned by management

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current Property & Casualty license required
  • 3-5 years Commercial Lines account management experience with agency or risk management department required
  • Commercial Lines core coverages knowledge required; construction and/or specialty coverages knowledge a plus
  • Professional insurance designation(s) preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Strong customer service focus and skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism and pleasant demeanor
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency and ability to be flexible when required by client needs
  • Ability to work well with others as a team, as well as to work well independently and accept accountability
  • Basic computer aptitude and skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of insurance company rating systems a plus
  • Knowledge of Applied Epic system a plus
